Street rehabilitation in Craiova
The Integrated Urban Development Plan facilitates both pedestrian and vehicles traffic in Craiova through a series of specific measures. The plan improves the accessibility to the economic, cultural and touristic spots in town.
The Integrated Urban Development Plan is a bridge between policy and action, a development tool based on flexible strategies. Some of the IUDP measures have common goals with MODERN. The plan is currently under implementation and consists in of three mains measures:There are various aspects of the plan which includes introducing traffic restrictions in the “0” city zone, an efficient traffic lights system in town and a tram station and ways rehabilitation plan.The main results that have been obtained thus far are:Infrastructure connection improvementCity travel-time reduction through the city Public transport use growthAir and noise pollution reduction
